BLOOMFIELD / GENOA CITY

To apply for membership or become an employee:

Must be eighteen (18) years of age
Must have a valid Wisconsin driver's license
Must submit to a criminal background check
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
Members must live within one (1) mile of the BGCFR response area
Employee lives outside of BGCFR response area
Must take an aptitude test
Must be approved by the Board of Fire Commission

Application packets can be picked up at the Bloomfield Station during office hours, M-F from 8 A.M. until 4 P.M.

LAKE GENEVA

The Lake Geneva Fire Department is a combination
Paid-on-Call/Paid-on-Premise department where
members receive compensation for duties performed.

We are currently seeking individuals who have a strong desire to serve their
community.

Applications may be picked up in person at
Fire Station 1,
730 Marshall St.
Lake
Geneva, Wi 53147
or are available for downloading.

Applicants must pass a background investigation, have a valid drivers license,
possess a clean driving record and pass an oral interview.

Upon submittal of a completed application, completion of a background and
driving record investigation, any remaining applicants will be requested to
appear before the Chief(s) of the Department and the Police and Fire
Commission.

Upon certification of the Police and Fire Commission, the applicant may be
offered a position within the department or placed upon a hiring list which shall
be maintained for two years.

If an offer is extended and accepted, the applicant will be placed on probation for
a minimum of six months.
